Creating the Future of Sustainable Housing with Mass-Timber

Our Innovative Wood Building System

In order to satisfy the ever-increasing demand for living spaces while preserving our environmental resources, we need to fundamentally change the way we build. That is why we in Happy Homes have spent a great deal of time examining all alternative building materials and rethinking the way we use these materials to build safe and healthy living spaces. Now we are confident that we have designed the most efficient building system which not only significantly decreases construction cost and time, but also does it in a sustainable and climate-positive way.

Sustainable & Circular Construction Method

Construction industry is responsible for around 40% of all global CO2 emissions and more than a third of all generated waste.

Happy Homes utilizes mass-timber structural elements which are renewable, carbon-negative and have excellent load and fire-resistance. Moreover, a completely circular construction method has been designed which means building materials can be recovered and reused at the end of a building’s life-cycle.

Biophilic Design

Scientific studies have shown that living and working in buildings with natural elements such as exposed wood and abundant natural light increases the well being and performance of occupants and reduces their stress level. Including natural elements in a building is known as biophilic design and is the cornerstone of Happy Home’s architectural strategy.

Continuous Improvement & Support

“Every building is its own prototype” is a common phrase in the conventional construction industry. Constructing each building differently however makes it impossible to systematically track and improve efficiency.

Happy Homes on the other hand, regards its buildings as different variations of the same product, built according to the same system. This means that we can constantly measure the performance of our building components and continuously improve the efficiency of our system and the satisfaction of our customers.

“We see Happy Home’s approach as an effective way to build climate-natural buildings. It standardizes the main parameters of construction, so that a high-quality, low-cost construction is achieved”
